Effect of Common Chicory Essence and Phototherapy on Serum Bilirubin Levels in Preterm Infants Admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit: An In Vitro Study

: Jaundice is a common neonatal disorder that occurs in most term and preterm infants. Chicory or dandelion flower has long been used the treatment of jaundice. This study aimed to investigate effect chicory essence phototherapy on serum bilirubin levels infants admitted intensive care unit (NICU) Valiasr Hospital Birjand, Iran. vitro was conducted with gestational age less than 37 weeks weight 2500 g.
